Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas around here!! It was Hannah and Alyssa's first Christmas and Nickolas really seemed to get into opening presents. What a great day spent with the little ones and all of the family!!

Hannah Bug in her Christmas dress. She is so cute! She is walking around all over the place.

Jamie, Danielle and Hannah

Alyssa was very content in the highchair while we opened gifts.

Nickolas with his Uncle Jason

Here is Nickolas opening his gift from Aunt Dee Dee!!

Here is Alyssa opening her gift from Aunt Dee Dee. Nickolas had to check all the toys out.

Hannah with Elmo. I love this picture.

Nickolas loved his tri-cycle. We will have to teach him how to pedal. For now, he wants to be pushed around on it.

Danielle and Hannah

Nickolas loved this toy, too!! He doesn't know how to steer yet, so he just goes until he hits a wall.

This is Alyssa's new toy. She will have to grow into it.

Here is Mr. Nosey checking out Alyssa's toy. He also played with Hannah's toy (pictured to the left). Hannah's toy is really cute. She also has room to grow into it.

Jason and Deidra

Here is Hannah. She was sitting in Bobby's lap. Jamie walked by and she would not stop saying Da Da, Da Da, Da Da. It was soooo cute.

Wes and Tiffany (Alyssa was sleeping, and Nickolas was preoccupied)

Me, Deidra, Jason, Tiffany Wes, Danielle, Jamie, Bobby, Nana, Nickolas, Hannah (Ms Alyssa was sleeping, and we were NOT going to wake her)

Here is the entire Mullins Crew!!! (minus Jan, Matt and Eli. Hope you feel better soon, Eli!)

These pictures of Alyssa crack me up. Too cute.

Here is JB with his Mimi waving bye!! So cute.

Nickolas, The Chatter Box

Nickolas has a new thing he does. He will trap you and make you listen to him!! He will talk and talk and talk to you, and if you are not looking at him (on his level) then he gets very upset!! It is so cute. He pulls on my hands until I kneel down to his level, then he will start chattering. As long as you respond and act like you are interested he will keep talking. This video only shows a fraction of what he is capable of.

Nickolas and his shopping cart

Yesterday I looked and Nickolas was sitting in his shopping cart! He loves this toy. He usually pushes it around everywhere. This time he was sitting in it and picking toys out of the toy basket next to him. Very cute. I had no idea he could climb into it! So I watched him for the next few min and he quickly showed me how it is done. He would climb in it and sit down. Then he would lean forward and dump his self out of it onto the floor. Then he would start all over again. Crazy kid! As he got up from the floor he would clap and say "yay!!!" I can only assume he got this from us..because around here if a kid falls, we either don't say anything or will clap and cheer. (we do not want any tears around here) If it is a bad fall, then clapping and cheering just won't do. So there are plenty of times we pick up a crying kid..but for the most part we try to avoid it.

5 Months Old

Today Alyssa is 5 month's old! Time is flying by!! She is doing so much now. She still loves it when someone is talking to her...especially her big brother! When you talk to her she will coo back at you and it is the cutest thing ever!! She has been sitting in her exer-saucer for a few weeks now. She looks funny in it because she is so little. She can sit in there for a long time and keep herself entertained. As soon as you lay her down she rolls over to her stomach. When she is on her stomach she kicks and kicks, like she is trying to go somewhere. Before we know it this little girl will be crawling! Tiffany will really have her hands full then. She is very alert. Loves looking at her mobile on her crib and the toys on her car seat. Pretty much anything that makes noise, moves or has bright colors on it, she will look at. And I know this is hard to believe, but she might be a little spoiled! She loves loves loves to be held. When she starts getting sleepy, she wants to lay by herself and fall asleep. Any other time, if you are holding her she is very happy. She went to the doctor last week only to find out she had 2 ear infections! She is doing much better now. They weighed her and she weighs in at 16lbs 10oz! She is getting so big! Danielle said Hannah only weighs about 18 lbs now. So even though they are 4 months apart, Alyssa is quickly catching up! She is eating 5 oz every 4 hours or so (longer at night). For the most part she is sleeping all night. Tiffany said she has her nights where she will wake up anywhere from 1 to 3 times to eat. She loves it when Nickolas is around her. The other day she was crying and I put Nickolas in the crib with her and she stopped! As soon as I took Nickolas out of the crib she started crying again. She is so cute and we are so lucky to have 3 healthy babies in our family!!! We were trying to get a picture of Alyssa by herself so we were talking to her, playing "peek-a-boo" with her and making lots of noises, hoping to get a smile. Mr. Nickolas had to get in on the action. He came right up to her and started talking to her and even went to get his "peek-a-boo" book to read to her. They are just too cute!!!

Gingerbread House and Eating Cereal for the First Time!!

On Monday Tiffany and the kids came over to help with the gingerbread house. Nickolas wanted to help, so Tiffany and I found ourselves decorating with one hand and holding a kid in the other. Alyssa just likes to be held and Nickolas, The Copy Cat, wanted to do what we were doing. He loves M&M's and as I put them on the house, he did too. He also ate a few in the process. It was another fun experience. After the gingerbread house, Tiffany decided to give Alyssa cereal. The doctor said she can give her cereal and even baby food. Alyssa seemed to like the cereal and did pretty good with the spoon. She kept sticking her tongue out. It was pretty cute.
