4 Month Check up

Nickolas had his 4 month check up on Friday. I had to go so I could take a thousand pictures. What kind of doctor visit would it be without Aunt Tonya and her camera??? So...here we go!!

Wes gave him a little bit of Tylenol before we left. Tiffany learned to do that after his 1 month check up.

The nurse came in and asked a lot of questions and checked little Nickel out.

She checked his heart beat...he was in such a good mood!

She measured his head..it is 16 and 1/4 inches.

After she measured his head he grabbed the measuring tape! He wouldn't let it go.

Luckily, this was hanging low enough for him to grab...

His weight is 15lbs and 4oz. And he is 25 inches long.

After the nurse left we played with him. He was so happy!!

The doctor finally came in and checked him out!

She thought he was sooooo cute.....can you blame her?

He's still in a good mood!!! So cute.

It took so long for the nurse to come back in and give him his shots. The little guy finally fell asleep. Tiffany said, "I am NOT holding him while he gets his shots!" The nurse put him on the table. Thank Goodness!! Nobody had to hold him.

He received two shots in each leg and he had to drink one. He was not a happy camper at this point!! He was asleep when he received his first shot, so of course it woke him up and scared him! I almost cried, too! It was so pitiful.

He had two bandaids on each leg. I didn't want to hold him because I didn't know if it would hurt when I touched his legs...I soon got over that and held him. He slept the rest of the day. Tiffany said he woke up to eat, then fell right back to sleep until the next morning. Poor Nickolas..... I don't like it when he gets shots!! He goes back in November for his 6 month check up. I'll keep ya posted!!

Mr. Cool

I went to pick Nickolas up on Thursday and he was so fussy!! I gave him a bath and dressed him..then by the time I carried him out to the car he was asleep. Here he is sleeping under his sunglasses.

Mini Photo Shoot

He was in such a good mood the other day. I would talk to him and he would just smile and smile. I love it when he smiles at me. It is just too sweet. His eyes are looking blue in these pictures. Still not sure exactly what color they will be.

His hair is turning lighter and lighter.

He would just stare at my camera and let me take pictures of him.

This is one of my favorites. The outfit he is in is 6-12 months! It fits him lenght wise. He is so long! Nana and Ruthie picked this out when they were in Arizona.

Here he is with his blanket!!! This is just minutes before he went to sleep. He falls asleep like this everytime.

Long eyelashes...and little toes...

Here are a few pictures from a couple of different days. He was sleeping next to me in his car seat and his feet were sticking out...so I snapped a few pictures of his little feet. Then we were at mom's and he was sleeping there, too. So I grabbed a few more shots of his cuteness!!!

When he sleeps he has to have something next to his face! It is so cute. He will hold on to a burp cloth or a blanket or anything ,then he will fall right to sleep.

Little Man

He looks so big in this outfit!! These are the same jeans that I couldn't wait for him to grow into. He still has some room to grow, of course. He will stand if you hold each of his hands. He gets a little wobbly, but for the most part he does really well!! The last picture he was falling..... He can not sit alone yet. Tiffany was like, "Ok, I'm letting go riiiiight now!" Then I snapped the picture. I wasn't fast enough to catch him sitting up. Then he did a nose dive into the carpet........

They look so tiny sitting here. I just had to take a picture. And...well...then I had to post the picture. Haha. I am so addicted to that little guy and everything about him!!!

Hanging out with Aunt Tonya

I went to get Nickolas last Wednesday night so Tiffany and Wes could have a break. Then I kept him all day Thursday. Good times.

When I got there, he was so tired. He looked so pitiful.

We put him in his pajamas, because we knew he would fall asleep on the way to my house.

When we arrived at my house, I took him and layed him down. He didn't sleep there all night. (I was hoping...but no such luck) He woke up at 2, 4, 5, 8 then we finally got up at 9. Most of these times I just had to reinsert his paci. He gets so upset when that thing falls out. So I was up and down most of the night.

He woke up smiling!! I didn't even talk to him..he would just smile. What a joy to wake up to!!! He's so sweet. We started our day. I started him out with a bath..he loves taking baths.

Then later that day we took a walk around my aparment complex. We walked to check the mail. He loved being outside! He didn't make one sound while we were strolling around. He just looked around.

Then we came back for a little play time in the floor.

He is so cute while you feed him. He will put one hand around your thumb and the other hand around your pinky while you are holding the bottle. He has to be holding on to something while he eats. It can be a burp cloth or anything...

Then down for another nap!! He slept for about an hour here.

Then after a long day, he finally went back to his mommy and daddy!! We had so much fun. Tiffany said that her and Wes didn't even wake up all night. I asked her if she woke up and wondered where Nickolas was even for a second. She said..."No, we didn't move all night. It was great!" So I am glad they can relax enough to get some sleep when he's with me. Everybody needs a break once in a while.
