Jaundice

We took Nickolas back to UT today for blood work to check his jaundice level. By the time we got home, the doctor had called and said to bring him straight back to the hospital, because his level was 17.7! Apparently there was a miscommunication between the nurse and the doctor, because the nurse was already on her way with this special light. He has been under this light since the moment she brought it! He looks kind of pitiful, but also very cute. I mean, look at those nifty shades. :-) He goes back to the doctor tomorrow morning. We should know something by then. Hopefully we can send the light back to the hospital!! We already miss holding him around here.

It is very warm under there. He is very content under the lights.

He always holds his hands up to his face. Tiff said he did this in her tummy. They have ultrasound pictures of him doing it. Very cute.

You know? By 2 am you kind of run out of ways to take pictures of the same cute baby under the same nifty lights. So you have to get creative.

The nurse put these velcro squares on each side of his head. His rockin shades just sticks to each side!! I am NOT going to be the one to remove them. That's for sure.
